I think I have been good about this EVERY DAY in May so far! Yay! Some days I’m more distracted than others but lately I’ve been sitting outside in the mornings for at least 15 minutes (sometimes up to 45 if I don’t have anywhere to be) where it’s nice and quiet and cool. I’ve been eating breakfast out there and it is wonderful to sit and read and pray and sip my tea.
Great way to start the day! And I love that every day my knowledge & understanding is expanded by the grace of God. 1 week ago

That’s pretty good for me. :P I’ve been reading sporadically in the mornings for a few months but I really do want to make this a daily habit, even on Sundays (which I have often used as an excuse not to get up early to read, pray and study, ironically, haha). I think my attention will be more focused at church if I do a solitary study on my own before the service.
I’m almost finished with Deuteronomy… great book! Also re-reading the Psalms every few days. We are in the middle of the NT at church so saving those chapters for Sundays. 2 weeks ago

Reading more about praise today. I didn’t read much, but it was better than nothing. 11 months ago

I was reading about praise, so I spent a bunch of time in Psalms.

At this point it doesn’t matter how long I read, I just need to get back in the habit. Two or three verses would be enough for right now. I’m not sure when to count this finished. Maybe when it becomes a habit that I don’t need to really think about doing, or when I’ve done it consistently for a certain amount of time. Things to think on… 11 months ago
