I donated blood through Pugest Sound Blood Center about a month ago. Finally they sent an email to me telling me my blood type.

How I did it: I gave blood and they told me what blood type I had. I called my doctor's office and they had no record of my blood type on file. I figured I should know this because I will donate my organs. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I decided on a whim one day to donate blood at a local drive. I'd never done it before and was terrifyed! The nurses were so incredibly nice to me. It didn't take very long and wasn't painful. It was a little weird to see my blood pulsing out of my body but not painful. Best of all, they sent me a letter a couple of weeks later with my blood type! I found out that I have O- blood and my blood can be given to anyone. Knowing that I'm helpi… Read how I did it…

How I did it: I finally got over my "eh...i'm not so sure..." feeling about giving blood. I donated blood on a whim during welcome week at college. How I did it: So I went to donate blood, mainly because I was curious about my blood type.I was meant to get a letter from the Blood Service after 3 weeks, but 3 months later I was still waiting so I went to see them in person. Tri needs to make an effort. Seriously.
My mom and I went to the state fair this year at the end of August and they offered a way to find out a person’s blood type, so after waiting awhile in line and then getting my finger pricked, I learned I am AB+! It’s good to finally know. I tried to donate blood 2 or 3 times in the past at local blood drives but whenever I did there was either not enough blood or they couldn’t find the vein. According to the card they gave me, I’m amongst 3% of the U.S. population with this type, and I can receive from all types, however I can only give to others who are AB+.
I’m sure there MUST be some kind of paperwork that my parents or I have somewhere that says what blood type I am… right? I will have to do a search one day, or ask my parents if they can think of something that would say my blood type. But I shall find out!
I had to get blood tests done, so I asked ahead of time if I could find out my blood type. I was told no unless a doctor specifically ordered it for medical reasons (upcoming surgery, etc). So I still don’t know my blood type.
clare90 He's so confusing :(
