Just make flossing part of your tooth care “workout”. Brushing, flossing and mouthwash. Badabing Badaboom. I didn’t used to floss and mouthwash, just brushed, and once I added the extra stuff my dentist noticed a difference straight away the next time I went.

I’ve been flossing most of the summer so I’ll say I have done this one next week so I can feel good about myself for doing one thing on my list!

I found a Gripit Floss Holder 35 years ago and that got me in the flossing habit. See them on www.gripit.biz.

I’d say that daily is more often. I’m really glad to have done this. The only thing is to keep at it, but that’s not a problem. Flossing feels good.

I hate to floss…to me it is the devil. I must dance with the demon floss more often to be a good example to my son.

Was doing well, really I was 23 months ago

I had done this for several nights in a row. As soon as the chemo started, I stopped. I think I’ll move this to the “given up” page, but I will revive it once my mouth is less sore. The pamphlets are right so far: chemo makes your mouth too sore and bleed-y to have flossing really be safe, infection-risk-wise.

4 nights in a row ... so far 23 months ago

I went to the dentist on Tuesday, and since then, I’ve flossed each night. I want to keep doing it until chemo side effects make it impossible … and then, go back to doing it. EVEN THOUGH I HATE THIS.

I flossed last night. I then brushed my teeth. In the big scheme of things, it didn’t add too much time onto the amount of time I usually spend in the bathroom. So Why is it so hard to remember to floss?

    Right now 2 years ago

I floss about once a month. I know, it’s gross. My dentist says you can get away with once a week. So, I just have to multiply my normal floss rate by 4. hahaha!

I think this can be taken off as it is fast becoming a habit.
