embroider

i like embroidery because it can be freehand. no pattern, no tiny squares to find. i want to learn more of the cool stitches, knots and chains.

- got some books out of the library
- practiced with gifts for xmas
- try to look at the world as if it were all embroidery

have wanted to enhance a plain chambray shirt with freehand embroidery…did so with great success while camping…this will be an ongoing ritual, as we make this trip annually

I got into cross-stitch for a while. It was fun but time-consuming. I think I need a craft with a quicker pay-off.
