Caitlyn The great world power has not yet found the weapon to destroy dreams.
I get to work and there are a stack of dishes people have left from the previous day. We have one of those annoying signs that someone has printed up saying something along the lines of “there is no cleaning fairy around here, wash up your stuff” etc…
I wash the dishes every morning and don’t feel like a martyr about it. How hard is it really to do nice things for other people. I don’t feel the need to write a bitchy sign about it. I’m of the opinion that people are inherently “good”. They’re not leaving stuff there just for other people to clean up. They’re probably really busy or just forgot. It doesn’t take much effort on my part to help make life run just a little bit easier for others. I’m tired of hearing people complain about what other people aren’t doing. I’m sure somewhere along the line those people that left the dishes have done something quietly that has helped me that I didn’t realise.
