My friend Stephanie and I are going to make social-political macaroni/pasta/bean collages and wheat-paste them all over town. Or at least we plan on doing this. I think it would be so much fun, and an awesome way to use up my neolithic foods (grains, beans, legumes, sugars) that are just sitting in my cabinet not being eaten anymore.

If all goes well, drumming in the band will help me re-engage with my aesthetic sensitivity and stir up the creative juices.

I’m getting around to starting (I know, I know..) a series of Sculpey minatures. They will each be about 3/4” long and extremely realistic (except for their size). The series constitutes endangered frogs from Central and South America. Many are dying of a mysterious fungus that grows over their skin and effectively suffocates them. The fungus has been attributed to increased cloud cover in the tropics, which is an effect of global warming.
Sad.

Maybe I should get a sketch book. That seems to be a fairly non-threatening way to start practicing some of those long-neglected drawing skills.

So, I used to sketch, paint, draw, sculpt … I worked with pastels and oil paints. Somewhere along the line, I stopped. Life got in the way, I suppose. I don’t know. All I know is that I stopped, and I need to get back into it now.
