become an egyptologist

Egyptian civilisation and culture is all so very intriguing and oh-so-mysterious. It’s probably one of the few things that I’ve always been fascinated about ever since I can remember. Gosh, I’d love to study it someday and make this lifetime passion of mine a reality!

I love the Ancient Egyptian culture, the ancients and their monuments. Ever since I was a kid I wanted to be an Egyptologist. I remember that I fell in love with Ancient Egypt in Grade 6…that was eight years ago!

When I was eight, I said, “Mom, I want to be an Egyptologist.” She looked at me and said, “What’s an Egyptologist?”

Ever since 6th grade, when i did a project on Hieroglyphics, I fell in love. I’ve been interested, and i’m just waiting to visit Egypt as well. This field is so hard to get into, so I”m thinking maybe just Archaeology, but that’s also rare.

i’ve wanted to become an egyptologist ever since i was a kid & i found out what one was. my love for ancient egypt & egyptian culture goes back to my childhood. sadly finding a job as such is nearly impossible these days… i’d love to talk to an actual egyptologist & find out how he or she got into the field.
