so i’ve got my first job out in the so-called ‘real world.’ and the reality of school loans are here. i’m hoping to have my loans paid off in five years. and i think i’m off to a good start. slow and steady wins the race, right?

I’ve been volunteering full-time since I finished grad school. While I love what I do, and I know that it needs to be done by someone, I’m starting to feel the pinch. And I haven’t had a real source of income for too long! So now I’m finding a paying job and I hope to pay off my loans before I start school…again. :)

I paid off my husband’s loans without him knowing and gave him the loan papers in a huge christmas box.

Technically, I never had them 3 years ago

I went to the school that gave me a full scholarship. It didn’t quite cover books, so I did end up paying out of pocket some for that, but nothing that required a loan. I also worked full time while I was a full time student, to pay my bills. Don’t wait until you graduate to start paying it back. You can work and do school at the same time.
