12. Amy Henry – What It Takes
13. Dan Brown – The DaVinci Code
14. Dan Brown – Angels & Demons
15. Joel Osteen – Your Best Life Now
16. Nicholas Sparks – A Bend In The Road
17. Nicholas Sparks – The Rescue
18. Nicholas Sparks – The Guardian
19. John Grisham – The Partner
20. Maya Angelou – The Complete Collected Poems Of
21. John Grisham – The Street Lawyer
22. John Grogan – Marley & Me
23. Nicholas Sparks – Nights in Rodanthe
24. Jodi Picoult – Keeping Faith
25. Janet Fitch – While Oleander
Currently I’m reading John Grisham’s The Innocent Man, and I still have a back log of 20 or so books to read. Out of the 25 I’ve read this year my top 10 would be (in no particular order):
1. Certain Girls – this is definitely chick lit, but a nice light read, it’ll definitely make you laugh
2. Nineteen Minutes – Jodi Picoult doesn’t disappoint with this book, another one of her brilliant controversial topics, with all the twists and turns you’ve come to expect of her books
3. What It Takes – if you’re in business for yourself or you’re looking to move up the corporate ladder I highly recommend this book. Amy Henry appeared on Donald Trump’s The Apprentice.
4. The DaVinci Code
5. Angels & Demons
6. Your Best Life Now – this is such a powerful book. There’s so much truth in Joel’s words, you’ll feel the power of his words the first time you sit down with this book.
7. The Guardian
8. Marley & Me – This book actually made me cry. It’s funny in parts, and if you have a dog, as you’re reading this book you’ll connect with so much that Grogan writes about.
9. Nights in Rodanthe
10. Keeping Faith
And in taking the good with the bad my least favorites were
1. If I Am Missing or Dead
2. The Complete Collected Poems of Maya Angelou
3. White Oleander

...however I’m going to keep it open until the end of 2008. My goal was to read a book for each month of the year, which would be 12 books. I surpassed that a while ago, but I’m just going to keep on going until the end of the year, then I’ll set myself a new reading goal. I’ve added 3 Nicholas Sparks books and a John Grisham book to my list. Currently I’m reading another John Grisham book as well as the complete collection of Maya Angelou poems. I have a back log of like 21 other books to read, so that should keep me busy for a while!!!

Well I can add another, read one of Joel Osteen’s books. I started reading another religious book after that, and I know this is going to sound terrible, but I couldn’t do it. The style of writing was so hard to follow along with and so hard to understand, so I’ve put it back on the shelf for the time being. My next fenture is going to be a little different, I’m going to choose a fiction book (either Wicked or The Chronicles of Narnia) and I’m also going to read a business type book called Women Make the Best Salesmen. Then maybe I’ll get back to that other book.

Add Another!
I can officially add Angels & Demons by Dan Brown to my list, I finished it last night. It’s a little over 700 pages and I finished it in 4 days because it’s unputdownable. Very fast paced with tons of action, I definitely recommend it.
Tomorrow starts a new book, though I’m not sure what yet. I have a couple in mind and it’ll most likely be a John Grisham or a Christian book by Joel Osteen or Joyce Meyer.

My goal was to read 12 books this year, one for each month. I really like to read but never really take the time out to do it. Proudly I want to say that I’ve surpassed my 12 book goal and it’s only August. I plan to keep going with this though. Here’s a list of the books I’ve read:
1. For Better or for Worse – Diann Hunt
2. Runaway Jury – John Grisham
3. Shadow Dance – Julie Garwood
4. A Summer Smile – Iris Johansen
5. Hide and Seek – Fern Michaels
6. Stalemate – Iris Johansen
7.Lipstick Jungle – Candace Bushnell
8. Certain Girls – Jennifer Weiner
9. Nineteen Minutes – Jodi Piccoult
10. Sisters – Danielle Steel
11. If I am Missing or Dead – Janine Latus
12. What it Takes – Amy Henry
13. The DaVinci Code – Dan Brown
Now I’m about halfway through reading the prequel to The DaVinci Code (Dan Brown), it’s called Angels & Demons.
