    Name-Me Contest! 4 months ago

Please help me find an alias that suits me!

I am looking for a cool name that I can use online and in real life during those times when I want to protect my true identity. I’m protective of my privacy, but I also want to step out of my normal routine. I will be meeting people in circles where I haven’t treaded before, and I have to put something on that ‘Hello, My Name Is’ sticker!

I will even award the winner(s) of the chosen alias with something wonderful and pleasing, such as an original poem, an online tribute or an autographed picture of an obscure body part.

Anyhoo, I have not had much luck coming up with an alias that doesn’t sound boring or cheesy.

Here are my criteria regarding the ideal alias:
    • Cool
    • Sexy
    • Interesting
    • Easy to pronounce and spell

What will I accept? Common names, mythical/historical names, names of objects/animals, non-English names and completely original names are all fair game.

Extra credit will be awarded if you come up with the perfect photo to go with my new name.

    Be Opposed 1 year ago

If you google “BeOpposed” every single link leads to something of mine. It’s the only thing I can truly call my own.

Actually, there is one link that isn’t mine, but I rant about this on my xanga :-D.

    Sporkboy 1 year ago

It’s pretty safe to say that I identify with the alias “Sporkmonger” almost as much as I identify with my own name. It’s hilariously funny to introduce myself first as “Bob Aman”, and get a nice-to-meet-you then reintroduce myself as “Sporkmonger” and immediately have people go, “Oh, you’re ‘Sporkmonger’? Cool! I’ve read your blog and used your code. That stuff rocks!” Apparently given names are harder to remember, and not nearly as cool among certain crowds.

    Decisions, decisions 2 years ago

Do I want one, elaborate alias? Or would it be preferable to create a series of them? One benefit of the latter would be the opportunity to use a variety of cool and amusing names…

I’ll have to think it over.

C’mon, I have no idea what name suits me.

Give me the first name, or a nickname. I’ll sort out a surname.
