How to get a motorcycle license by Christine7777

"In California take the Safety Class."

How I did it: Obtained the permit from the DMV, took the Safety Class, and then took the written DMV exam to obtain the license.  Never rode a motorcycle before and what an experience it was (and funny) to see grown adults ride a motorcycle for the first time and in a straight line across a parking lot.

More than half the people in class did not return for the second day. 

Lessons & tips: If you dump the bike chances are you will be booted from class.  If you get to choose a bike, choose the lighter ones. 

Resources: Study the DMV guide for the written exam.  By taking the moto exam in California, I also had to take the regular Car/auto written exam.
In the end, it was worth it!!!!

How I did it: i took a rider's safety course.  it was two days long, they offer them in many different locations, mine was in athens, TN.  i learned a lot of basic skills that every rider should have.  i've ridden before, but after i took this class i'm much more confident in my abilities.  the class also automatically gives you a certificate to take to the DMV and all you do is pay the fee, then you have your motorcycle endorsement… Read how I did it…

    absolute freedom to me. Last summer my uncle taught me how to ride a motorcycle and it felt absolutely amazing. I don’t have the money to get a license though. I’m planning to do it when I am 25 because of the restrictions in the German system… at that age you can get your license and immediately ride any bike you want.

    I will do this when I have saved up 10.000 Euros or so… then I can get my license and buy myself a Honda Shadow <3 Beautiful machine.

    Well, I have gotten my permit, a new helmet, gloves, boots and dusted off the jacket! For the past month I have been spinning around a local parking lot every Saturday! I still have to perfect tight circles, and figure 8’s , but I cant wait to hit the road! And it is looking like Im on my way!

    Ever since my friend got a Ninja, I am totally hooked. Riding a motorcycle on freeways totally shakes my stress away. I drive a stick so it should not be any problem learning how to ride a bike.
