hug a stranger

I’ve hugged plenty of strangers, and i’ve become friends with the majority of them :). i love it! i got the idea from the song All the same by Sick Puppies. i’m tempted to hold a free hugs sign in the mall or something. :D

I went around town with a sign that said ‘FREE HUGS’ i got 127 hugs in one hour. It was so good seeing people light up and saying that made their day. :)

Everyone deserves a hug. I’ve hugged almost strangers and sort of strangers, but no honest-to-goodness strangers.

I met her on the bus. We hung out for a while downtown and then when we went separate ways we hugged. I don’t think she was really a stranger when we hugged.

Strangers are intimidating. Each person’s character is unknown to the person how judges them. I myself have been a stranger to all that I have come across. Some want to reach for your arms (and hold you), some want question why you are the way you are (and give that unkind look), some want to figure you out within a few seconds and so forth. So it is a fear I want to accomplish. For me, I am wary of their response of my approaching embrace. So choosing a stranger and actually doing it will be rare but this is a goal for me to set out.

For strangers who want to hug me? You better have a fresh breath, clean clothes and a honest look to you to hug me or I will just pat you on shoulders and smile uncomfortably.

I’m planning to do a “Free Hug” campaign at me next field trip.
Just hope it’s not illegal here in Texas. :]

How do I go about doing this? I image it would be pretty awkward the second after it happens. I’m determined to do it, but it will take me a while.

hugged, like, five strangers in one day. no one cared; it was pretty fun.

I imagine that if successful this would be very cool and fun…although I’m not sure how to approach someone on for this.
