It will be a regular car just with out any gas what so ever, but here is the kicker it dosen’t ever need to be pluged in. The reason is that it has small generators in all four wheels so every time the wheel turned it would charge the (core of the car) but my brother told me that the friction and gravity would affect the rashio of the power which means that if it charges only once every turn of the wheel sooner or later it couldn’t go with out being charged so what i did was made it so every time the wheel turned it would charge 3x every turn. The second battery A.K.A.(the core) would be where all the power goes wants the generators from the wheels made it, the first battery would be like any other it first turn your car on then it would be the radio the windows etc. and that is my design

i wanna build something for a project.. but i dont know if this is it. im only 14.. i wonder if it would be too difficult
just looking around right now for plans and parts that will be needed for a project elec. car. im really wanting to build one but have no idea where in wichita ks to start to find parts or resorces so im searching the net and hoping to find some good info. my car would be based on a 2 seater style trike, with some solar and alt and gen backups along with some totally original frame an body work that im designing so i want to build everything on this from the ground up…....any ideas?
This has been a big project. So far I have the installed the new motor, completed the electronic board, and built a battery platform in the trunk for 600 lbs of batteries. Still need to rebuild the brakes and get everything wired up before I order the batteries.
Well, it was my project and my plan, but the product is not quite finished and will end up happening without any of my further contributions, but it will be presented at the national solar conference in Cleveland in July.
I’m taking inspiration from http://www.forkenswift.com/ as a low-budget conversion. That’s a good model to start on for us as we will be learning much along the way – so mistakes won’t be so costly!
There’s also good inspiration to be found in the comments at TeamSwift’s thread that details the ForkenSwift conversion
on my birthday this year 2006, i decided to become environmental friendly. i want to contribute in my own little way to preserve this fragile earth we live in, that has given so much to us more than being just a passive host location
during my last trip home to cebu, i couldnt secure a service car. so happily settled to use the electric bike of my sister ed.
what a surprise! it was fun to use. quiet. vibration free. smoke free. and best of all did not require fueling up!
i just had to make sure it was connected to the charger every night.
but the dust and the smog in my small city always caused allergic cough.
ohhhh! its like being a fish in an aquarium without a filtering system. really. we pollute the very same air we breathe. i hate the thought. but this is what i have been doing together with millions of other conventional ICE internal combustion motorists.
so i decided i will find or build my own electric car.
perhaps this is the reason why i got into my course of electro mechanics in hi school and college.
i have searched the internet for the current designs and would like to build an electric car that looks like the one in the posted pix.
and as if by chance, i found out that a relative of mine is into marketing and co-manufacturing electric bikes!
they make the designs and have these developed and manufactured in china where it is much cheaper.
lo and behold, i have access to technical support, as well as possible parts.
i am now considering to use the in wheel motor which will eliminate the need for any transmission.
it also looks like i can now find a good lithium ion battery which will become the heart of the electric car.
so here goes!
i want to build my own electric car which i will drive on christmas of 2007!
im now actively soliciting the support of all you good folks out there, especially the technically savvy: electronic controls for speed regulation, charging systems, electronic speed differential system for the front wheels- so that turning will not be a problem even for MY four wheel all power electric car, hehehe and more
let me know.
i can feel the support of everyone and of the universe in general headed my way!
im ready to go for it!
Going for it using a 1991 Toyota Celica GT that I picked up for $150 (great body, interior but didn’t run). Ripped out the engine and now ordering parts for the conversion. YA!!!
Great project for my kids and I to work on together!
someday, when I have a stationary garage to work on it in, i’m going to buy an old 70’s Jeep CJ and change it to electric, with solar panel covering the front hood. Guess i’d have to wipe the mud off now and then to get any charge.
Biodeisel is all the rage, but there’s something so clean about an all-electric vehicle.
I was talking to a stranger at a party many years ago in the Santa Cruz (CA) mountains. I was leaning against a car in the driveway, and noticed some strange fins sticking out of the hood. I commented. The guy I was talking to said “oh, that’s my car. It’s electric. Wanna go for a ride?”
So we sat down—me in the passenger seat. It looked just like a regular car. He reached over and flipped a switch on the dashboard (OK, so that was a little odd…). With a gleam in his eye and a mischeivous tone in his voice, he said “It’s on now.” No noise. The light started going on for me…
Then he screeched the tires out of the driveway. And took me for a short spin up the road and back. The car MOVED. He said “you can’t chase me up these hills—all the car’s weight is 6 inches from the ground.” He was talking about the batteries.
When we got back, he showed me what was under the hood. The engine looked like a larger version of one of those motors you get with a set of Legos building blocks. And very, very little else. Just a lot of batteries. Batteries in every nook and cranny, front and back.
Anyway, ever since then… (embarrassed now…) more than 20 years ago… I’ve wanted to build a car like that.
Oh, by the way… turns I was talking to the editor of Home Power magazine.
