Volunteer for the Obama campaign

As Sierra predicted, they don’t want to be called anymore. Two of the very few people I got on the phone today asked me to stop calling. So I did a page and a half of calls and left.

I was surprised that calls were to be made on our own cells. Hey! Some of us are pay as you go!

Also, next time, I will remember to get in on volunteering earlier so I can do something to help besides annoy the many McCain supporters of Ohio. I disliked calling as much as I thought I would, even though everyone was nice to me.

It got a lot easier once I started telling them my name was Amy though.

I was run down and asked to come in and phone bank to swing states to help get out the votes.

I hate calling people on the phone so much but if I haven’t done anything to help, I’ll kick myself for the next four years if things go badly.

So Monday, I’ll be faux smiling at strangers in a state where your vote matters.
