I have had an idea in my head for a Threadless design for several months now. I have Adobe CS2 on my computer and it is so slow and it takes forever to do anything! So I usually get frustrated and move on to something else. My idea is for a GREEN theme design, inspired by some sketches that I did for a drawing class last spring. I hope that by putting this on my life list, I can get this project done faster!

My first submission was rejected, and I just sent in a second submission. I have my own very small t-shirt company, so getting rejected by Threadless doesn’t phase me. . . I keep my favorite ideas for myself, and submit a few of my fringe ideas to Threadless to see if they will sink or sqim with that crowd.
That said, designing shirts is one of the most fulfilling things I have done. The creativity, control, and pay-off is mine, all mine!

Two submissions, one of which was a collaboration with a friend, both got rejected before it even got into the competition. Try, try again.

I could spend a lot of time designing something that only has a slight chance of getting printed, and even if it does, the payoff doesn’t seem that great.

Hey!
I submitted a tee shirt design called Gerard de Nerval
to Threadless.com:
URL: http://www.threadless.com/submission/88157/Gerard_de_Nerval
Update: voting period is over. I got a 2.30. I was glad to get above a 2, but if it had been a little better, maybe i could’ve gotten it printed. The ones that get printed normally get 2.8 or 3, but i saw one that only had a 2.35. I guess it partly depends on how many ‘id buy it’s the design gets. As someone said below: checking comments is so addictive.
I got a little annoyed, because my design was a dandy walking a lobster, and a day after it was posted, another design with a person walking a lobster was submitted. I ended up with a higher score than him anyway, so i guess it doesn’t really matter.

I’ve wanted to submit a design forever, but I’m just not up to it. I need some fresh ideas, and better skills… soon.
