I love them. I also love underdogs, and crappy food, and arguments. They are not ordered or valued, but they are beautiful. The more we embrace the things that do us no harm, the more open we are to healing when we are harmed. And the less we live in fear. 5 years ago

yesterday i was asked what my passion is. how many of you have ever asked someone that? or been asked yourself? passion is something is beyond physical attraction and affection. it’s part of every day, every instant, every moment.
i realized that my passion is beauty. more than anything else, i love discovering beauty in unseen places. its amazing, when you look at the world open to beauty. whether its in that abandoned building or wilted flower or artistic boy, the beauty is there, just waiting to be recognized and appreciated.
i think this newly defined passion relates to this goal. i want to be the kind of person who can be running late and still have wet hair and mix-matched soxs, yet walk out that door and see a child holding his grandpa’s hand, and see that as beauty. beauty is not about the chaos of that moment; it’s about simplicity, reality, and expressions of love. it’s about not getting so caught up in those crazy moments, which happen to me all to often, but rather the simple expressions of emotion, the results of time, and the hidden side.
beauty is not defined in a simple way; i’m not even going to try. but i know that beauty has thhe ability to calm, heal, inspire, enlighten…
these past few weeks have been stressful and full of tears. my boyfriend, in the midst of my tears and the source of my tears, looked at me and said, “you’re beautiful.” those two words took away the pain and stress for a moment. they made me forget every reason i was crying and remember every reason why i love this boy. but now, i’m ready to see something beautiful. something really beautiful, not just the everyday beauty. i want to be healed as i see this beauty unlike any other in the midst of everyone’s busy ways. there’s something i love about being the only one to capture this beauty. i can only hope that i’m taking parts of this beauty with me. 6 years ago

Everyone has secrets–some just fake it better, hide it better, deny it better. We can’t hold their silence against them. Living is about understanding: We are more than ourselves. 7 years ago

Let Go
Drink up baby down
Hmm, are you in or are you out
Leave your things behind
‘Cause it’s all going off without you
Excuse me too busy
Writing your tragedy
These mishaps you bubble-wrap
When you’ve no idea what you’re like
So let go
So let go
Jump in
Oh well what you waiting for
It’s alright
‘Cause there’s beauty in the breakdown
So let go
Let it go
Just get in
Oh it’s so amazing here
It’s alright
‘Cause there’s beauty in the breakdown
It gains the more it gives
And it rises with the fall
So hand me that remote
Can’t you see that all that stuff’s a sideshow
Such boundless pleasure
We’ve no time for later now
You can’t await your own arrival
You’ve twenty seconds to comply
So let go
So let go
Jump in
Oh well what you waiting for
It’s alright
‘Cause there’s beauty in the breakdown
So let go
Yeah let it go
Just get in
Oh it’s so amazing here
It’s alright
‘Cause there’s beauty in the breakdown
So let go
So let go
Jump in
Oh well what you waiting for
It’s alright
‘Cause there’s beauty in the breakdown
So let go
Let it go
Just get in
Oh it’s so amazing here
It’s alright
‘Cause there’s beauty in the breakdown
