get into OpenID

Started with OpenID site. Joined the group in FB. Then setup with Pibb in FB.

This term has appeared million times while I’m reading online these days. I started my first anonymous OpenID yesterday via:

Poking around further and reading the wikis and documentations:

I have gained a rudimentary understanding about it. To have a good start, you may try:

Granted, not a lot of sites currently support it, but I have high hopes that I’ll soon use my acolyte.co.za ID to log in mostly everywhere I want to be :-)

LiveJournal implemented it nicely.

OpenID is an identity/authentication system which is mainly useful for commenting on weblogs and such, but theoretically could be used for a multitude of stuff. I want to start looking into this nice technique.
