Czarofthepark Watching the world Series Game #5

Dream item #1 3 weeks ago

I guess this is where I state in more detail what we already know. I would love to do a tour of stadiums and see a game at each one. I wonder how long it would take and how I would go about mapping out that itinerary. Anyone know?

Baseball Love ♥ 3 months ago

This is something that I’ve wanted to do since I was married and my ex-husband and I talked about it…
I grew up loving baseball because my dad was a fan and besides listening to or watching EVERY Dodger game, he would take us to several games at Dodger Stadium every summer.
So far, I’ve only seen the Dodger’s play at Dodger Stadium and I took my sons to a Padre’s game at Qualcomm Stadium.

    Midwest done! 5 months ago

I visited Chicago, Milwaukee, and Minneapolis this month, so I can check off four more stadiums (White Sox – US Cellular Field, Cubs – Wrigley Field, Brewers – Miller Park, Twins – Metrodome). Of course, next year I’ll have to add the new Target Field to my list. I was hoping to hit some more of the scattered stadiums (Denver, Kansas City, and Phoenix) next month but it isn’t going to happen, so I’ll take a weekend trip to Cincinnati instead and see some of the minor league teams in KY and eastern TN.

Moving right along! 6 months ago

Next month, I’ll visit both Chicago stadiums, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, and hopefully Cincinnati. I’m also hoping (but not fully planning yet) to visit Louisville, several eastern Tennessee, and western Carolinas minor league parks I haven’t been to yet. I’ve also picked a few Alabama minor league dates. If I have the money this summer, I should hit a lot of parks.

Toured Fenway Park 13 months ago

I was able to tour Fenway Park—but didn’t get to see a game. The tour was wonderful..and the tour guide was so animated, so Boston!

So many so far... 15 months ago

So we started this on our honeymoon…1999:

New York Yankees (old – twice)
    Fenway Park
    Camden Yards

    Others so far:
Safeco (Seattle – near our home – we’ve done Kingdome too!)
Jack Murphy Stadium – Padres in 1993
Kaufmann to see the KC Royals

Charlie is moving forward, one day at a time.

Got Safeco off my list... 15 months ago

Beautiful park, great vibe, great food, and great atmosphere – particularly since the Mariners kinda suck this year.

Might be the nicest park I’ve ever visited.

On may way 17 months ago

Over the past few years i have seen these stadiums, keep in mind I’m only 23 and have a very limited budget:

    1. Metrodome. Minneaoplis, MN (where I live)
    2. Miller Park
    3. Wrigley Field
    4. Coors Field
    5. Dolphin Stadium (Miami)
    6. Comerica Park (Detroit)
    7. Jacob’s Field (now Progressive, Cleveland)
    8. Camden Yards (Baltimore)
    9. Yankee Stadium
    10. PNC Park (Pittsburgh)
    11. New Busch Stadium

Later this summer I am going on a trip that will include Dodger Stadium, whatever the Angels are calling themselves and their stadium now, AT&T park (SF), and Safeco Field (Seattle). I will also be adding the new Twins stadium when it opens in 2010 and fingers crossed I will make it out to Fenway in the next two years.

Let me know if you have any tips for how to get to the ball park, where to park, where to eat, or any of that at the stadiums I’m going to this summer.

    Thanks,

    Kirby

The new Washington Nationals Park! 19 months ago

This is my hometown team now, so I was super psyched that we got a new park. It’s absolutely beautiful. If only the team made it worth going to see them… they lost 10-2 yesterday when I went to the game. They’ve have a pretty horrible start to the year, but hopefully things start looking up!
