i’ve been in a show recently; Children of Eden. No part, just a solo in Wasteland, but considering i’m just a 10th grader (the lowest grade at wilson high) it’s ok i guess. you know how it is, directors always have their favorites.
i also tried out for a show at a community place that my brother josh does shows at called Genesius(sp?) they’re doing into the woods and I’m Grany. yay =D. i just wonder what the part is, considering in the little red ridinghood fairy tale granny got eaten…
oh well, what happens happens.
Opening night is next week, and i am completely excited! before my audition, i didn’t even know what role i was going to try out for… i just picked a character, and i got it!
advice for anybody who’s a lead:
-don’t be too serious, and enjoy ever rehersal
-don’t worry about anybody else, but yourself. this isn’t being selfish, it’s just taking care of yourself and making sure that you know what you’re doing.
-take in as much as you can. learn it all.
i’ve always worked tech.
but now i really wanna use my vocal talent and show them what i’ve got!
Laura still has that aftershow buzz :)
I have an audition at the beginning of February :D I’ve been working really hard on my audition songs – my friend’s been helping me practice (she’s very musical :))
Even if I don’t get through, I’ll be glad of the experience and I know it’ll be fun (if a little nerve-wracking!)

I just love musicals. Everything and anything to do with them. Being in one would be… wow :)
I’ve done this on an amateur level, but SO want to do this professionally. And actually, it’s not so much about my being a professional as being in a professional production!

I’m in the ensemble of Romeo and Juliet at my school! _
YAY!
I’m actually really excited for this, because there’s one person who sings during the ballroom scene, and I’m hoping I’ll be able to be that person.
One downside of straight theater- less singing (if any)
Not a Huge achievement, but at least I got in.
I have been in musicals when I was little but never was I the star. I had lines, and sang in songs but never like a leading role. I want my talent to be shown to someone who has the ablity to make my talents known to many, not just a few close friends…
