Buy a bottle of Jones Soda with Ru's picture on it

I haven’t seen any Jones Soda bottles with Ru’s lovely pictures in these parts. I will keep my eye open, but marking this one give up for now.

...and cannot find it. 8(

After months of searching in vain, I’d pretty much given up on having a matching set of bottles (although Markus has still been checking Superstore valiantly). Then today, Isak and I were running down Commercial Drive “like gingerbread men”, and passed a bakery with gingerbread men in the window. We decided to get one, and as I was paying for it, I glanced at the fridge behind the counter and THERE IT WAS! The Green Apple!

I started jumping up and down, saying “that’s my bottle!” confusing the bakery lady and the woman behind me until I explained that I’d taken the photo on the label and had been trying to find it for about a year.

Fortunately I had enough change left to buy it, and coddled it all the way home. It was such a fluke, not just that we went in there, but that it was right in the front row where I could see it!! Now I want to get a shadowbox and put them both on the wall.

I’m going to give it up for now though I’ll keep looking. Who knew they were so hard to find?

is not a big mover at Pacific Market. I’ve now determined they get in a new shipment about every 2 months. They’re on their last 4 pack though….

They restocked the Jones Soda at my grocery store! I thought it was discontinued but when I went in the other day there was more than ever. This from a store that is getting leaner and leaner, cheaper and cheaper. Kinda makes you go hmmmm….. but no photo there amoung the vast supply.

I finally got to go to the Whole Foods that opened here maybe a year ago. They didn’t even have Jones Soda. I’m stunned.

They are actively trying to buy local products which is way good. It was so nice to be in a healthy vegetable department.

I walked through the health products and found aroma therapy for dealing with emotional eating.

Bottles are hard to come by here lately I’ve found – everything seems to be in 12-pack cans.

I checked last night as I was purchasing storm supplies. Not there. I think the same set of bottles are there and they are on sale. Everything is so expensive. I briefly considered buying some just in case we needed emergency orange soda to survive the dark night, but my practicallity got the better of me and I bought 2 D-Batteries.

So I checked and store security did come by. I explained it and it was all cool. Its kinda like that in Hawaii. No problem bro.
