I WANT TO LIVE HERE SO SO BAD.
We just went this past weekend to go to a show and visit some friends, and oh oh ohhhhh. I don’t like parties anywhere but in Austin, I fit in.
We drove out to Barton Creek Mall and the drive there was so beautiful and it just made me feel happy and alive.
I want my boyfriend to go to graduate school there so badly! My life would be absolutely perfect!

I want to do this so bad and now I have an excuse to because I found out UT has a graduate program for Foreign Language Education.

I loved Austin to begin with, but it became clear to me that it was my home after moving to Southwest Florida (probably the worst place on earth). Austin is such a unique, diverse place. You’ll always have things to do, whether you like the city life or more outdoorsy things. The people are so friendly and welcoming and everyone is so different. I would recommend living here to anybody in a heartbeat.

Oh yeah, at first I hated Texas, hated it with a passion, but after a couple of depressing visits back home in Chicago I was really glad to come back to the damn place. On the other hand Austin is an oasis for non-Texasans who like the state but prefer the conventional American (if you know what I mean). Also a good place to be a student, or an alcoholic, but what I’d really like to do is mingle with the crowd at Book People. Besides, I hear that Tucker Max hasn’t shown his face in Austin in a few years which means that it’s safe for Leslie to come out again.

One day, but not yet. Right now I think that DH and I are content to stay put where we can be near to our families (although in February when it’s cold and snowy, I think we’ll wish we were somewhere warmer).
The eventual goal is for me to apply to UT Austin for Library Science. We’d like to visit his friends in the area sometime, as well. Maybe sometime next year we can take a trip down there.

I was there for three years (I went to school at UT-Austin) and totally fell in love with this city. I’d go back in a heartbeat.
