I have it in my head. This beautiful, contemporary piece with blocks of color and raindrops of black streaks. I want to release it so badly, but I have no tools, not even crayons and paper, with me right now.
I just recently decided to start creating art. Part of my budget will now go toward saving for supplies.
I think I’ve always been this kind of creative person, but the world told me to structure myself. When I was a small child, I wanted to be an artist. But dollars and cents told me no, be something with a steady income. I have to say no to logic and reason now, because I’ve been completely miserable. I’m learning I can have both worlds, that writing, composing, painting and other forms of art can be hobbies until I am good enough and ready to make them my living. I am ready to take on the world.
