Meeting Henry Rollins 4 months ago

This man is such an inspiration to be informed about major issues of our time. It was fantastic to be able to talk with him for the short 5 minutes or so that I got. I happened to notice him coming out the back of the auditorium of my college getting on his bus as I was walking back to my dorm. I decided to wait around and see if he would come back out and thankfully he did. This picture is kind of dark but he is signing my iPod.

    Whoops 2 years ago

I watched Henry Rollins perform and thought about stalking him near his tour bus to knock this off my list, but I floundered. My two friends who came with me peeled out of the parking lot, claiming they needed rest before work, so i was alone, about 500 feet away from Henry Rollins. And I missed my chance.

The irony of the whole thing was Henry Rollins talking about the anxiety he gets when he is about to meet someone he admires. And he’s famous! At least relatively speaking…

My plan is to get wildly famous ASAP so when I meet Henry Rollins, it can be in a more controlled environment, like at the after party of an award show or a movie studio.

Toy Tiger circa 1999 3 years ago

I saw Henry Rollins perform live at the Toy Tiger in Louisville, Kentucky. I brought along my copy of “Art to Choke Hearts & Pissing in the Gene Pool” for him to sign and gave him a copy of one of the most bizarre and interesting books I had ever read. I’d still like to see him do spoken word, though.

Hanks THE man 3 years ago

I’ve met Henry over 10 times. He’s a really cool guy. Quite shy, really. But he is friendly and very respectful to his fans.
