After 2 years of being given various exercises, I’ve finally found what I believe to be the cause. My gluteus maximus is not engaging and it is causing my femur to internally rotate, resulting in knee problems.
So I’ve got to get my gluteus engaging – squeeze that penny!

Faustus is in unfamiliar territory!
time seems to have done his (/her?) work. Downgraded my running shoes to everyday footwear level (they’re tacky, but you guessed it right, I don’t care), and that might have helped.
Knees are not 100% yet, but feel strong enough for me to jump around like a grasshopper on crack. Time to resume the running schedule.

Faustus is in unfamiliar territory!
left knee is almost back to normal; practically, at least… who needs to bend a knee all the way anyway. :)
After don’t-know-how-many-weeks, spent some time in the gym on Thursday… trying out the new cool interactive stationary bikes, a couple of minutes on the elliptical, and a couple of minutes of rowing. Iced the right knee afterward, and it felt actually a bit better than before the light activity. So what do you do with a slightly less shaky knee? Yep, played plenty of soccer on Saturday. Expected to wake up in the morning in pain, but no, all is well (ummm, excluding the calves!). :)

Faustus is in unfamiliar territory!
fix my knees, as it appears! Banged the left knee on the ground playing soccer, and it’s painful enough so that I can neglect the other knee. What’s the technical word for it? “I fell?” like an elderly under care does, or “I hit the ground?”, or maybe “I showcased my rich vocabulary”? I can’t bend my knees for now, and feel like the pirate on Family Guy while walking. which is a quite funny style, in an independent eye. :)
I think the left knee will actually heal much faster… I’m hoping maybe within a week. But the right knee has been shaky for quite a while now, and I guess I have to eventually cave in and go see a doctor.
BTW, I hit “I’ve done this” by mistake, how should I undo it? Help… please?

The doctor actually told me that there is nothing he can do for me. I stopped going to physical therapy about a month ago. My knee still hurts every day.

So after 3 months of off and on pain, and pretty bad pain after running only a mile, I finally go to the chiropractor and 2 visits and 1 week later I’m running pain-free. I still felt a little irritation in the area, but with a little work I know it will go away. I ordered the stick, and I’ll be using that religiously, as well as icing and stretching after every run. I can’t believe that the problem was helped so quickly! :)

I finally made one for tomorrow. I think my problem is not the knee, but ITB syndrome, which is no fun either. I guess I’ll see what the diagnosis is tomorrow.

My meniscal tear has been stitched back together, my leg brace has been taken off, and in about 5/6 weeks I’ll be able to go back to work again!
I’m [kinda] walking without my crutches, and although it hurts I’m used to the pain!
I’ll be able to go back to college in three weeks or so, too!
It’s not quite back to normal yet, but it’s getting there.
