The doctor actually told me that there is nothing he can do for me. I stopped going to physical therapy about a month ago. My knee still hurts every day.

    Worth doing!

So after 3 months of off and on pain, and pretty bad pain after running only a mile, I finally go to the chiropractor and 2 visits and 1 week later I’m running pain-free. I still felt a little irritation in the area, but with a little work I know it will go away. I ordered the stick, and I’ll be using that religiously, as well as icing and stretching after every run. I can’t believe that the problem was helped so quickly! :)

    Worth doing!

Last night I went to my first visit with a Chiropractor because of ITBS. He is certified in Active Release Technique, which I have heard has great results on this particular injury.

Well, I was there for nearly 2 hours last night. Apparently, the injury started in my calves, probably from the time I was running a lot and dancing too (in 4 inch heels). I was very skeptical about this technique, since people were claiming quick results, and I’ve been suffering with this pain for nearly 3 months now.

The treatment was painful at times, and not so bad at others. They basically massage where your body is really tight and where you have scar tissue, while moving you though a range of natural motions. It was interesting, and the worst was the inner part of my calf! Ouch!! They did some stuff with electricity on my knee, and also with a metal thing that breaks up scar tissue. I left feeling sore and my knee still hurt on the way home. Got home and iced it, and this morning I was bruised on one side. BUT…I didn’t have pain in my knee while driving to work this morning – for the first time in a looong time! I feel like it’s better already, which is crazy! My next appt. is on Wednesday. We’ll see how that goes. Hopefully I can fully recover and start running again. I should have done this a lot sooner instead of waiting until now!

I finally made one for tomorrow. I think my problem is not the knee, but ITB syndrome, which is no fun either. I guess I’ll see what the diagnosis is tomorrow.

    Worth doing!

My meniscal tear has been stitched back together, my leg brace has been taken off, and in about 5/6 weeks I’ll be able to go back to work again!

I’m [kinda] walking without my crutches, and although it hurts I’m used to the pain!

I’ll be able to go back to college in three weeks or so, too!

It’s not quite back to normal yet, but it’s getting there.
