have my own apartment

I only have 3 more sleeps till I move into my apartment! I went over there with my boyfriend last night and it was completely empty and all dark because the electricity hasn’t been turned on yet. We ran into all the rooms pretending that we lived there already and rolled around in the empty rooms on the new carpet and talked about all the things we would save up for and what we are going to do to celebrate on Saturday night!! Wow!! Its going to be amazing!

I signed the lease and whatnot. I won’t consider this done, however, until I actually move stuff into the apartment.

I am moving into my apartment on the 27th!!! I’m so excited!! Only 10 days to go!!

We bought an apartment and we’re on our way to renovate before I can move in!!! Wish is coming true!

Was thinking about how I’d come about this. I know that becoming independent is important and finding some kind of work is too. I’m kind of scared to live alone, yet I don’t know if I’ll get along w/ roommates/strangers. Luckily, where I live they offer affordable decent, emphasis on decent, housing. My mom says she can help me get in because she has clout. Wew…but, who knows. I’m only 19 and somehow I still feel like a baby, but I know that I need to stop being so scared of this. I sometimes think that in the past I have been purposely sabotaging my chances at this goal from the fear of independence and being alone.

It’s time to get out of the parents house. Enough said!

soon i’ll be turning 21, and i just want to get my life to a place where i feel stable enough both financially & emotionally to begin living on my own. i really feel i need to make the effort to push my life foreword i don’t see my life improving any other way. I want to move before the new school term, so I’m giving myself 4 months to try and work and get where i need to be in order to make the big move, and one month to settle into life in my new apartment before school starts.

I’m looking on Craiglist for apartments in the area I’ll be moving to (when I have money…ugh), and I’ve been setting up a hypothetical budget, so I can figure out how much I can spend, and how much I’ll need to be working. Lots of “if”s and “when”s for now, but I think I’m on the right track. I’m all about preparation for the time being.

I’ve figured out how much bus passes cost and am looking at where different routes go.

I bought a book that talks about the author’s experiences living in all the different neighborhoods of the city, so I can decide what area fits me best.

I’ve found a couple of apartment buildings and areas in particular that interest me.

I even bought a map of the city, and made little flags where different businesses and facilities are located!

Yea…..Told you I like to prepare! However, I have reason to…This will be my first experience living in a different state a loooong ways from my family, my first time not having roommates, and my first time relying on public transportation to get me places I need to go. So basically, this is huge for me.
