Until I get a yoga dvd, I’m giving this one up, it’s too miserable trying to motivate myself to look at a book and find what I can do for 20 minutes.
I love yoga. Specifically yoga with one particular teacher who is not holding a regular class at the moment. I have tried other teachers and I leave class feeling tetchy and unfulfilled. I have only once half-assedly practiced at home, but I get such benefits from it, why don’t I make a goal to gradually make a habit? Well, I have! I want to start this sometime before the weekend and once on Saturday or Sunday.
I’m trying not to have any expectations about this, but even 20 minutes twice a week would be better than what I do now. If I can do this for the rest of March and through April, I’ll mark it done and think about making it either more regular or a longer session.
Edit – well, I did it tonight! Only problem being that I it’s hard trying to remember what I did in class. I reckon this would be a lot easier with a yoga book and a plan so I can work upper and lower body equally. I’ll get to the library later this week.
Sunday edit – I did it again! I used a book, as the library had no videos or dvds to borrow. I may just go crazy and buy a nice set of dvds from amazon. Practice just seems a lot more therapeutic and calmer when someone else is talking it through for me and I can let my mind just concentrate on what my body is doing.
Thursday – Did it again, but I REALLY need a dvd to work with. I’ll get onto this at the weekend.
