How I did it: Went to the DIY centre and picked up a few sample colour cards and chose at home what colour and shade I wanted - went for Dulux 'Golden Glow' (no. 2) in silk - very neutral colour. Read how I did it…

so I stopped. Indecision holds me back like no other.

GG finished the touch ups so I’m saying it’s done. Even though the molding has to be put around the front door. Whatever. It’s painted.
I have to say it looks fabulous. So much lighter at night than the old colors even though we didn’t change them that much. The old red and yellow were just grayer. Now we’re festive!
And I’m so glad to be free of the bare sheet rock!

It’s all detail work left and that’s GG’s area.
Nearly done though. It looks gorgeous.

It’s looking amazing. GG said, why didn’t we do this years ago? Well, because it’s a ridiculous amount of work….
Waterfall Nymph Ow!
Yesterday we TSPed it all and primed the ceiling and the entryway.
Today my brother helped from 9-6 (!!!) and we got everything primed even the tricky bits like the molding and the bookcases. 2 coats of the super heavy duty primer on most of the walls. Also the additional red primer on the walls that are being rhubarb color and the first real coat on the ceiling. Also a tiny bit of the yellow went up – inside a bookcase and a half.
It is a really really big room.

yellow and red. So no real change from what it is already, but different hues. Not quite sure what exact color for ceiling and the trim.
We’re packing things up. Man, there’s a lot of stuff in this room. It’s not good.

GG has been spackling and repairing.
We got some sample paints. I think the green looks pretty good but neither of the yellows is right.
It’s raining so we can’t paint this weekend anyway !

We’re so doing it this week. The mornings are getting damper and we’ve got a lot of stuff to put on the deck….
