I am currently doing the Alexander Technique to correct my posture. It is a very natural way of moving and maintaining good posture. So far, it is working. I am working towards the point where it comes as second nature to me.
People doing this are also doing these things:

Know what good posture is believed to be. Most people think that to “stand up straight” means tensing your back to heave your chest ‘in and up’, and pulling your head back in to your chest. This is not so. The spine has two natural curves that you need to maintain called the ‘double C’ or ‘S’ curves, these are the curves found from the base of your head to your shoulders and the curve from the upper back to the base of the spine. When standing straight up, make sure that your weight is evenly distributed on your feet. You might feel like you are leaning forward, and look stupid, but you don’t. Leiah my house like always
im always slouching!!! i actually just notice i was until i read over this goal and i straightened up… haha.
the best solution for poor posture is confidence. i see my posture is alot better by lifting my chin a bit and pulling my shoulders back. when i see a reflection of myself and i have good posture i look and feel much more confident. and besides, it makes my back feel better. and my workouts are even more productive and efficient bc of my improved posture. this is soooo worth doing :D!!
im believing this goal will soon be accomplished . im proud to say that atleast i am more aware of my posture and im quick to correct it. i just hope i get better at sleeping with a good posture as well, bc i find myself all curled up when i wake up. but im working on it :)
I’m a ballet dancer so I’m supposed to have perfect posture. And when I’m dancing I do. But somehow as soon as dance class is over I’m back to slouching again. I always forget to think about it, but I’m just going to try to keep reminding myself until something happens..
& somewhat uncomfortable at times, if really have been slouching for a while.
I had to change my chair.
I’ve started using a Swiss ball for stretching.
I was putting my neck in traction off the side of the bed to ensure I wasn’t stretching unevenly (which would hurt… )
But wow.
I think I gained back a whole INCH back!
