Practice painting

Bought the materials that is.. They sit there untouched. I really have been busy, but a part of me sees that blank canvas, and gets a bit frightened. I don’t want to hurt the canvas hahaha. OK..so I guess I can always buy another one and throw it away if it comes out looking like crap. It won’t be the end of the world. Not like there are only 2 canvases in the world. :)

I decided to buy some paint brushes and some oils and canvas and do some research. I had visions of something one night and had to wake up to write them down. I figure it’s worth practicing now. It’d be cool to be able to transfer what I see in my mind to a canvas. Need to practice.

i’m doing another art course next year, and i’m good at drawing (relative to other art mediums) but lack alot of painting skills with oil and water colour so i need to practice these. so i’ll be more rounded in my skills. i know i can be good at painting, every-time there was something i couldn’t draw as well as i wanted to i did a project on it, and therefore improved. (ie. human faces, water, etc. etc.) as well as the fact i enjoy painting, (except with water colour!)
