I’ve found that the best way to do this is to start from a certain yoga position where you lean your knees on your elbows to get some balance, and then slowly raise your legs.

i can actually stand on my head for a short while now and keep ballance. but i still cannot say that i can do it well. i make progress each week and i believe this goal will be accomplished soon. and i love the asana, it makes me feel so great :)

if i only manage to not get embarassed about my foot (and fall then)i might actually make it on my yoga tonight. just got the feeling i am getting there.

so after a couple of weeks i now understand why do you need to use your elbows and how do you use them to support you and let you balance easier. i can already put my legs up but need to learn to keep the balance and to stretch my legs straight.

i think it is all psychology. it’s a very scary thing to do because you’re afraid to fall. realistically you just roll oven and it doesn’t hurt at all.
i did some practice and now i can keep my ballance fow a couple secs but my feet are still not up straight.
wonder how long will it take :)
It’s good to learn, because if you do right, you’ll get loads of energy! Yoga! Might sound strange :P
I can stand on my head against a wall now. Still working on a freestanding headstand. My little niece was just born this week, and my sister says I can be the Aunt Who Stands On Her Head now. Hooray!
