    conflict 3 years ago

Argh, I am following a conflicting goal right now, where I am starting my own company. I still want to do open-source.

I am thinking that if my project becomes successful, then publish parts of it under BSD (without nasty licenses). But this is far out it the future.

    Interviewing Zed 3 years ago

Well, I didn’t write Mongrel, but I did interview the guy who did. Hopefully this will help both Zed and I to a better job of making a living with Free Software.

not a living, and not software, but it's a start 3 years ago

Well, I’v just had the second article in my new series on ruby published over at Linux Journal. It’s great to be writing on a regular basis, and it’s nice to see a little bit of money coming in too.

Here are links to the two articles:

    Yay!!!

Have to find a niche & make money from books 4 years ago

That is the standard model…develop a novel new software platform of some sort, or killer app & then make all your money on the book that explains how to use it.

Interesting if you are prepared to never stop learning new stuff and are open minded.
