volunteer in an orphanage in Africa

I really don’t want my life to be a waste! I’m a teacher so I have the skills to do some good over there..not that it really matters what my job is! I had such a priviledged childhood and it makes me so sad to think about what some kids have to go through. Even if I can only do a little bit to help..at least it is something! I mean what else will I do with my Summer off school? Shop, sunbath, holiday? – all lovely things to do but hardly going to change the world anytime soon are they!

I can’t do this next summer as I have a big holiday booked with my besties…but it is definately in the plan for the Summer after! If anyone wants to join me I would LOVE the company so send me a message or something!

I would like to do volonteer work in third world countries. I have many talents, but being only 18, I have no degree. I’m a licenced private pilot and float pilot. I enjoy working with children and elders. I have a talent for writing. I’m also in excellent physical shape. I have expirience in construction and commercial fishing. Last but not least, I dont have very much money to spend on this. Any ideas for me? Thank you.

I friend of mine volunteered in an orphanage in South Africa. She said it was one of the most rewarding experiences. While she was there a new born baby was brought into the orphanage after being abandoned in the bushes! She could not expalin her feelings for this child. She went with a company called Voluntours.
