This section in the textbook doesn’t resonate much to me. I’ll read it again later this day…

Lesson 4 in the workbook does resonate. The lessons are familiar to me so far. Because they melt perfectly together with the Dharma, Buddha’s teachings.

“These thoughts do not mean anything. They are like the things I see in this room.”

After my morning zazen (sitting-in-meditation) I’ve read the rest of chapter 1.

“Spirit is in a state of grace forever.
    Your reality is only spirit.
Therefore you are in a state of grace forever.”

    (T1.III.5:4,5,6)

Yesterday evening I read chapter 1, section I of the textbook, which I repeated this morning. After that, I read section II.

    26. Miracles represent freedom from fear. “Atoning” means “undoing.” The undoing of fear is an essential part of the Atonement value of miracles. (T1.I.26)

I received the book today. My husband bought it for me as a gift, which is very sweet, because he doesn’t read religious books at all..

I am now on my 3rd attempt to work the daily lessons. I went further than the previous 2 attempts this year, but again am faltering. However, unlike other goals and attempts in my life, I do not feel like a failure. Instead I am more determined to keep with the lessons. It is so worth it! I love ACIM!

A daily reading plan  — 2 years ago

    Worth doing!

There is a daily reading plan on this website that makes it easy to spend just 10 minutes or so each weekday (weekends off!) and finish the Text of the Course in one year. There is also a set of comments on the daily lessons of the Workbook that really help in doing them consistently and getting results.
