Basically, it’s a site that allows you to give small loans (as little as $25) to people in developing countries to start their own business or get the funds needed to become financially independent and provide for their families. The people who you can give loans to are truely worthy people, and the kiva people go through a process to select them. The best part is, when your money gets repaid, you can then reinvest in someone else’s business. Over a course of time, you could change several people’s lives with a relatively small amount of money.
