Be there...Burning Man 2009...for a 43Things Convergence!

Freakin event is over. I need to do something to get this off my list.

I failed on the 43T Convergence part, but Burning Man was a success.

I WILL do better next time. I swear! Next year, and yes, we were planning next year before we even left, I will faithfully register my camp.

There will be cheers with The Man!

I’m a big loser and didn’t get to register camp, hence, no 43 Things Convergence. All my fault and I don’t have a good reason.

I’ll cross this off this weekend, I am soo looking forward to this.

I am definitely going. I will be with Camp Contact at 8:00 & DNA. It is camp for contact improv dance… so come dance with us!! I will also be offering massage at an adjacent camp called HeeBeeGeeBee Healers. Sign up for a massage too!

I’ll be looking for the Surly Camp and I’ll be there Saturday 5:00.

BTW, I’ll be visiting about 3 hotsprings on the way to BM, Surly, have you made any hotsprings plans?

On the Burning Man site, they mention a camp Directory. I’m not sure exactly where I’ll end up. We will be in general camping. Somewhere.

I will call my camp “The Surly Camp” and put it in the directory once we get set up. We should be arriving Sunday sometime.

Yesterday I met up with the guy who I contacted from craigslist, and he bought my ticket for a friend of his who wants to go. I got almost the face value for the ticket. With fees & shipping I lost a little more, but I still got about 90% of what I paid for the ticket. That’s a relief- I thought that I could sell it, but you never know for sure.

So… I’m giving up on this goal. I know that there were a lot of 43ers who wanted to go this year who weren’t able to for various reasons. Maybe we can try again next year.

Edit: How do you give up on a goal anymore? It used to be easy to do, but I can’t find it now.

Edit PS- Found it. You have to click on “remove,” which doesn’t seem right at all. Then you are given the option of either removing the goal completely or giving up on it.

found someone in town interested in buying my ticket. Hopefully we can meet over the weekend and I’ll get rid of it without much of a loss.

I’ve replied to 3 people on craigslist in the Denver area who were looking for tickets, but I haven’t even received an acknowledgement from any of them.

I’ll go ahead & just list the ticket myself if I don’t get any responses by tomorrow.

My neighbors think we’ve lost our minds! LOL
