When I catch myself, I sit right back up. My chest opens and I breathe better and that makes me feel great, but of course because Im used to sitting like an 89 year old lady, my back hurts from all of the muscles now actually having to work. Im trying though. I caught a glimpse of myself in a mirror when I was at dinner eating and saw how terrible I looked…embarrassing. This is worth the effort. I keep telling myself “dont make me bring the stabilizer ball into work”...

bad posture
i know i have already had bad posture since i was little. recently i have gotten a little bit better especially if i’m wearing heels, but living in the city and teaching doesn’t allow me to wear heels very often. i tend to forget unless i see an image of myself or someone slouching as i walk down the streets.
how could i constantly remind myself about my bad posture? hmm…

I always get yelled at for slouching, and I beat myself up over it too. Its pretty ugly and I work real hard on it at school. I dont want to be remembered for my slouching back.

My Grandma would say “make it look like ya got something” haha
I’ll post a note on my desk and at home. STAND STRAIGHT to remind me everyday!!

I have back problems, so this would really help me out.

As simple as that.
So, that’s what I’m working on.

I have minor Scoliosis, so having bad posture is not an option. It could worsen if I don’t ‘straighten’ myself up. So for the sake of my health, and my Dad’s sanity, I shall commit to having excellent posture.

I used to have my monitor right in front of me so I was looking down on it all the time. That made me kind of slouch down a little in my chair.
So, I moved the monitor up on a shelf and now I feel myself sitting up a lot straighter when I am on the computer.
