Things I have done so far 15 months ago

Since I first started to accomplish this, I have learned two very important things about controlling my emotions. First, I question my feelings that make me upset. I am reading a book called Loving What Is, and I have learned to question my thoughts. If I have a thought that invokes a feeling I do not like, I ask myself four questions. 1. Is it true? 2. Is it absolutely true? 3. How do I react when I have that thought? and 4. Where would I be without that thought? And then lastly, I turnaround the thought.

The second thing I have learned is that I can let go of thoughts that upset me as quickly as they pop into my head. They came from nowhere, and I can get rid of them just as easily. When I learn to let go of the feelings associated with the thought, it is much easier to control my emotions. I am reading about this in another book called The Sedona Method.

this is very important. Those darn emotions screw things up good sometimes don’t they…logic goes out the window, when anger kicks in. Genes, or environment? Hmmm…ponder.
