How to bike to school
How I did it: We called it Senior Cycle day and encouraged everyone in my class to bike to school. Those of us who did parked in the parking lot... ha :) When we all pulled in on our bikes, there were people cheering and we all felt like we brought a smile to someones face.
Lessons & tips: Don't go alone... you might get hit by a bus
Resources: My bike...

Woo-hoo.. 5.5 miles first thing in the morning! When everyone else is arriving cold and groggy, I’m warmed up and alert (thanks much to C making me take hot coffee and a half-decent breakfast). And I’ve never been a “morning person.” Its just starting to get cold and nasty now, and I know I’ll unabashedly wimp out a whole bunch this winter, but I plan to keep biking as much as possible to get acclimated, and perhaps invest in some better winter gear.. but that’s a whole other thing.
Took C to preschool in the trailer. It was my day off, but I stayed on campus and read my book for the duration of class. The weather was just right.
Free yourself from the petro-leash! Biking is worth the extra effort; save gas, feel better.
It doesn’t seem like much, but it’s a 10 min drive, so I think that’s pretty good. Anyway, I did it today and I’m really proud, so tired though, cause I had a flat tire both ways.
