Pet a squirrel

i really want a pet squirrel i always have but my mom doesnt want me to have one and i dont know why…. what should i do

They were in an old dresser drawer delivered to my friends summer home. Obviously taken away from their mother. They were sure to starve to death. Their eyes were still closed and they were severely dehydrated. I took them home and nursed them back to health. Every 4 hour feedings and lots of hot water bottles later, they are big and healthy and beautiful. I am trying to find a permanent home for them. I am hoping a wildlife rescue organization in my community can help. If not Ill keep them forever because there is no way they could live completely on their own.

In D.C. there is a tree full of squirrels.
I think it was by the capitol building…not sure though.
Anyway, we all sat down and petted (pat?) the squirrels.
Soft and fuzzy. Tails not as thick as they look.

I wish squirrels laid eggs, then I could just grab one and raise a squirrel. Petting it wouldn’t be a problem. It would come to me constantly for affection.

those sneaky little things never let you touch them! but they’re so cute. :)
i bet the best way to do this is to lure them in with food. like nuts. or skittles. :D and then BAM! pet them! hehe

YEh owning a squirrel will be awesome. they have always been my favorite pets

I thought I could save a wild red squirrel that had been hit by a car, which I failed at, but I’m sure she would’ve died anyway. But yeah, they really do have awesome tails. I wish I could remember how she felt more specifically, but the tail thing is the only thing that stands out really…Oh and that she held onto my finger really tight….watch out for biting.

i had two pet squirrels a few years ago.. it was the best year of my life. I ADORE squirrels, and I raised them from babies so they were really tame with me.. but still wild with other people.

I used to have a pet squirrel. It had been knocked out of its nest and I was attempting to nurse it back to health. I had it for almost a month before his little lungs finally gave out. :( I cried when he died…but he was super adorable!
