take care of my family

I need help. I know it might sound crazy but I really need a hand out from someone out there who can afford it. My life is in shambles. My wife has chrones disease. I lost my job. Bills are backing up to thw wall. My four kids I can barely stand to look at them because of our financial situation. I just need Mercy from someone. If you ever wanted to help someone and not in vain. We are that family.

To call this done. I support them as best as I can, but in the end I have to leave their successes or failures to them. They always know I’m there for them, but their lives are theirs to do with as they will. I can’t try to be there every time my mother gets stressed or my father spends money or my sisters make a life choice. All I can do is try to be me, and let them know I love them no matter what happens in their lives.

I am number 4 of 5 children. My parents celebrated their 29th anniversary this Sunday. I want to be there for all of my siblings and also my brother in law. ALSO, I want to be there for my cousins, even if it is just by praying for them.

My father and sister are out visiting now. It’s been expensive and hectic and stressful but I hope that they’re having a good time. Sadly, a lot of unpleasant things are happening with my father’s business back home and I feel like it’s keeping him from enjoying his time here as much as he would otherwise. Worse, I’m now feeling like I’d rather have not spent all this money on this trip, and have been able to help him now instead. I wish I had the time and resources to completely take care of my family whenever they needed it…all I can do is my best for now. I hope it’s enough.

Last year, my father said he was going to come out and visit me. I gave him the benefit of the doubt. I bought baseball tickets. And I believe that he had every intention of coming. But, the thing I have to remember is that he always assumes he’ll have money and he never does. The man barely affords food for him and my sisters; I can’t realistically expect him to be able to travel no matter how good he claims his business is going.

So, this year, I’m taking matters into my own hands. And if all goes well, at great personal expense I am paying for him and my little sister to come out to Seattle and visit me for a week in July. Doing this for several reasons, partially because it’s ridiculous that his brother and sister have been out here a decade and he’s never been. And also, if I’m honest, because I’m trying to take some of the inevitable sting out from when he discovers that I’m moving to Texas with my mother. It seems like kind of a ridiculous scenario, but it’s just something I want to do and I have enough cash to do it (albeit barely). I love him and wish I could do more for him; back home he can’t even drive as his car was repossessed…but I don’t have the resources to dig him out of his various holes. In the long term, the best thing I can do for my father is to get my own life going to the point that I will be in a position to take care of him. And in the meantime, if all I can do is give him a nice week’s vacation from his life, then that’s what I’m going to do.

Goal No. 1 …

So far i’ve done things to take care of my mom and sister…they’re totally grateful and it’s been defintely the best feeling in the world!
