finish things

I picked up my car today, and it feels wonderful to have it back!!!

Now, about returning the CD case that’s ben rattling around in it for a couple of weeks…

There wasa rental car waiting for me, so everything is going smoothly… I wish I didn’t have to deal with this, but I’m glad I’m taking care of it. Can’t wait to get my baby back!

I tend to procrastinate on unpleasant tasks, but I’ve been baby-stepping my way through the claims process, getting the estimate, and making the appointment to drop off the car and get a rental car in the meantime.

I’ll drop the car at the shop on Monday, and they will have the rental ready and waiting for me. Soon enough, this will all be over.

1. mix CD for the CD swap I’m participating in
x. my bag for my BYOB goal (yay!!!!!! it’s done…on to more)
3. reading “Jitterbug Perfume”
4. Making something for the new baby upstairs
5. completing 8 straight weeks of daily meditation

I used to do these religiously, but I’ve fallen out of the habit… I picked it up on Sunday as a way to help my sister with vocabulary-building, and we got excited about it, and… you guessed it: we finished it last night!

This is one project I will need to finish. Setting it up and figuring out how to download all of my account information directly into the program.

My plan is to follow my time-tested tradition of spending 15 minutes per day working on it until it’s done.

I think I can, I think I can…

and picked up the drycleaning. Surely that’s got to count for something!

We’re developing sayings around my house:

The laundry’s not done until it’s put away.

The meal’s not over till the dishes are done.

School’s not out until the homework is finished.

That sort of thing. It’s pretty fun, actually!

I’m feeling apathetic about it, but I know it to be good work. I did the first level in November, and today I got the e-mail reminder that it was the last day to register for a discounted rate, so I went ahead & did it, with the last bit of money that was in my Esalen account.

When all is said & done, it’s good to return to the breath.

As the sought-after actress that I am, I’ve been asked for my photo & resume for the first time in nearly seven years. Naturally, I didn’t have anything current, but thank goodness everything is digital!

Blinkie snapped some photos, I downloaded an acting resume template, and sent the whole thing off this morning!
