How to improving my Polymer Clay work by ckay111

"Fun learning experience. A bit frustrating because I want my work to come out perfect the first time."

How I did it: I'm still learning, but I started with the simple skinner blend.  The pasta machine makes all the difference in the world.  Then I learned to do stripes and checkerboard designs, and jelly rolls and lace.  I'm just working my way through what seems to be easier and moving on to the more complex.  I think it's a good idea to do it until you get it right so you will really know how to do it without the book.

Lessons & tips: Take your time.  Avoid short cuts.

Resources: I use any polymer clay book I can get my  hands on...library, magazines, book stores, amazon.com, swaptree, ebay, etc.

    I have started working on the quality of my polymer clay cane work. So far so good, practice makes perfect, and I’ve also got skinner blends down to a science!

    I even made my own blend charts!

    I want to try the technique called Mocume or something like that (I’ll edit in the right work when I remember it.)

    I want to improve my skinner blends.

    I want to try that other technique that starts with an ‘M’, and canes.
