I’ve looked on my former uni’s activities site, and they have a trip planned, so it’s looking like I’ll have done this in a few months!!
How to white water raft
How I did it: A group of us headed to North Carolina for a mountain bike trail. We took a detour and visited a local travel/tourist organization that had everything there. After watching an instructional video, signing your life away with waivers, and gearing up, we were on our way with the guidance of a tour instructor. Good times!!! :o)
Lessons & tips: Leave valuables safe and secure in the dryness of your vehicle. :-)
Resources: It's easy to use an establishment that is already set up with gear, experience, etc..

Time to start planning the summer trip now so we can get reservations!

I should do this before summer’s over. Maupin isn’t far from here. The last half of my summer is filling up fast. I wonder if I can find a way to fit this in.
I’ve done the Cheat, the New, the Upper Gauley and the Yough in the past. Will talk to an outfitter about doing a California river this spring.
This always was the very best adrenaline rush I could imagine.
Living In God's Exquisite, Miraculous Sufficiency hasn't had time to be on 43T. Been busy with life.
I’ve only been white water rafting once and it was in CO off the Arkansas River. I think that was the river. It was a lot of fun!!!
Whiter water rafting is quite an adrenaline rush. I went rafting two weeks ago in an area that didn’t have much of a rain season this year. It was very rocky and it made rafting even more interesting. I fell out of the raft twice and I still have bruises and cuts that are healing. I loved the experience and I will do it over and over again. I am looking for more challenging waters to try.
We spent a Saturday on the river. It was very fun. I wish there had been more rapids but, being our first time it was probably safer that there wasn’t. I can’t wait to go again.
It was my dream. Now accomplished. as you are walking down the steep gorge to get to the start, you start getting nervous… all the things ive heard..
you climb in, start paddling, see the waves, i got scared for all of five seconds, then the fun started… once you are on that water, it just seems that the world is perfect. the view is amazing, the trip is a whole lot of fun. needless to say, i am now addicted. i recommend this to anyone who loves water and nature…
Pretty crazy. Only got up to class 3 rapids but my boat saved 4 people and everyone then went under as we got stuck but I managed to stay in and help the other guys get back in to bail out water and resave some of the people again.
