ahhh… Ani….

Providing a voice for my take on life 23 months ago

She’s provided a soundtrack to my life, good times and bad, for years and years. Meeting her and expressing my gratitude for her contributions to my life, and society in general, would be an amazing opportunity.

oh ani... 2 years ago

I love this woman so much. I think nothing has changed me more than her music. WHEN I meet her, that day, that day will be the best day of my life. I am seeing her July 18 in Brooklyn!

Ani Difranco is my savior. I have been listening to her music for many years and through her words I have gained confidence to be who I want, and do what I want without inhibations. I strongly encourage you to give her a chance. She is a Goddess!

Oh My God 3 years ago

Yeah…it was one of those experiences that is surreal. I went to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for a teacher conference and got to see Ani perform live in Cleveland…if that wasn’t enough..the next day…she was at the HOF and I went up to her and told her I enjoyed her concert. She ended up sitting next to me in one of the exhibits at the HOF and I barely took a breath the entire time so I could listen to her. sigh

When I was in high school, I worked at a local record store and one night, the day before an Ani concert, the little diva herself, walked right up the stairs with Andy, her drummer, and as she walked in, I said, “Holy Shit, you’re Ani Difranco!” and she said, “Holy shit, you’re right!” We had an old issue of Guitar magazine laying around that she was on the cover of and I asked her to sign it. She picked up a huge green magic marker and wrote all over the cover in unintelligible script. I love that memento…Love it, love it, love it. Love her too.
