Finished this yesterday, doing cold water dives from shore in Monterey. Very physical! Especially with the long surface swims for each scenario.

Took my first class in rescue diver with PADI yesterday. A LOT of good knowledge!

All I had to do was turn in my homework and mail out my credentials. All done. I have my temp card and then I just have to wait for my actual card, so I’m marking this as done. W00T!

All I need now is to take the first aid course and hand in my homework! Of course I leave the easy party for last.

I passed the final exam last night getting 3 wrong out of 50. The questions that I got wrong were about towing a diver and whether or not to give rescue breaths. I answered them according to what the book taught and not what I was taught in class. My instructor and the book differ slightly in that manner.
Rest assured, if you’re in the water and I’m rescuing you, you’ll get rescue breaths regardless.
Next up on the 23rd, the checkout dives!

Not so bad, but I’ve been inspired to get into better shape since this is going to be a physically demanding class.

I’ve signed up for the Rescue Diver class, and I have classes for the next 4 weeks. I’m pretty excited!
Excellent fun. Even better as it was taught by my mates Sym and Michelle and I was the only student!
Got Papi? (Papacito) is headed back to Microsoft! :D
I highly recommend this course for divers who are physically competent and want a little bit more physical challenge than say the Open Water or Advanced course. And, of course, if you want to become a Divemaster, this is a prerequisite.
Have fun. Pay attention. Avoid injuries.
