hey i am doing my AS levels at the moment at Sixth form. I got 3A’s 2B’s 3C’s and 1D in my GCSE’s.
A’s- English Literature, Geography, Religious Studies
B’s- English, ICT
C’s- French, German, Biology
D- Maths
I am re-sitting my Maths GCSE and I will hopefully have a C by the end of next year.
My AS levels are Religious Studies, English, Geography and Sociology
I am pretty sure I am going to pass Sociology as I have got nothing less than an A in it so far. I seem to be getting C’s for all my others but I am worried about getting a D or an E in Geography as I am not really enjoying it and I have got Ds and Es in some homework exercises.
I want to hopefully be a Social worker and for that I need to get an Honors degree in Social Work and I am worried I wont be good enough to get on the course. I am starting an NVQ level 2 in Child care which is equivalent to another GCSE in 2010.
any advice would be appreciated

Loliita is watching 'My wife and kids' on Virgin +1
My AS level results were crap to be honest.
I know i can do better, also I didn’t revise that well. I think this is because I hate most of my subjects i chose for A level including Politics and music. I thought that music would be good for me because I already play the piano at quite a high level. However, Music was SO BORING, I became unmotivated. I went to the school after I got my AS level results and I quit politics and Changed music to media studies. I hope now I might start enjoying Sixth form and get the grades I know I can get. At the moment I feel very strongly about going to an Art university and getting a Degree in Interior design. This mean I have to get good grades in English and Art, both of which I didn’t do too well in.
My subjects now are: English Literature, Art and Design & Media studies.

And hello again.
For those who do not know, the entry I wrote for this goal before clearly states that I chose the wrong goal, but that I cannot change it to the “real” one. For several reasons.
However, what I mean to pass is my Abitur :).
So here are the points I got for this semester :
- English (intensive course) : 15 points ( A+ )
- Geography : 11 points ( B )
- German (intensive course) : 13 points ( A- )
- Math : 12 points ( B+ )
- Physical Education : 8 points ( C )
- Sociology : 10 points ( B- )
This is actually the theoretical part of my Fachabitur. Only two more semesters to go!! :D I hope my next grades will be better. Need to work a lot on the things I do for school, and hopefully, everything will turn out better. This semester, I had a little down from time to time, as in “Do not want.” ...
However, I hope this won’t return …
Thank you for your understanding, and for reading this.

I am just about to start Year 13. Unfortunately i left one college and moved onto a other. In return this has left me with only being able to have 2 A2s and 2 ASs which i am worried many Universitys will not accept and also if i fail i willhave to go back to square one with a whole mess of exams. I am scared as i would hate to be doing college for another year and im also scared no where will accept me due to my higglidy-piggidy bunch of A Levels
I’m taking AS – Government and Politics, and History
A2 – Religious Studies and Psychology.

Hello everybody!!
We got our school reports for the 3rd semester today :D. I am so incredibly happy because this semester felt so long, and now I got through it and … There are only three more semesters missing!!
Now the most difficult part : We don’t get real grades anymore, but points. The highest number of points one can get is 15 (A+), while the lowest is 0 points (F). 1 point is E-, 2 points is E, 3 points is E+, and so on.
I wrote the corresponding grades in brackets so that you can see what the points mean (ahem) :
- English (intensive course) : 15 Points (A+)
- Geography : 13 Points (A-)
- German (intensive course) : 13 Points (A-)
- Math : 13 Points (A-)
- Physical Education : 9 Points (C+)
- Sociology : 10 Points (B-)
The next semester will be better :D. I am happy that I collected so many points already, though. And, sad but true, this goal was chosen incorrectly, because what I want to pass is the German equivalent to the a levels, but on the other hand … It’s not that bad, is it? :)
Have a nice day everyone! On Monday I will be in the 4th semester already!! :)
Much love,
Rina

Well I’m doing English Lit, History, Maths, Economics and Critical Thinking and the combination of my 4main subjects being hard ones is sucking all my time. What’s worse is I deliberately say I won’t go out when I get home, I’ll stay in and work and then I just waste the time online or at the TV when I could have been with friends! There is just such a Maths leap from GCSE to A-level and though I was happy with my GCSE results (8A* and 2A) I am finding the jump a bit hard.
GAR I HATE SCHOOL!
plus theres so much other stuff you have to develop for UCAS like an area of the arts, volunteering, sport, etc. I just don’t have time!
xx
