paint portraits

I painted a portrait of my son about 12 years ago. It was the first time he went overnight with his dad, after we had gotten separated. I did it from a photo of him, and the funny thing was, it made him look like he was about 16 years old (he was 3 at the time.) Now he’s 16 and it really does look like him now!

I don`t really enjoy this. I just like the idea of it. I`m giving up.

I am not sure when I`ll get back onto this goal. It has been so hard to find models here. i think I`l just concentrate on buildings or nature.

This is under way, with two portraits being painted.

I`ve never been confident with my ability to paint women, in particular, and I am hoping to improve this over the next couple of years. The thing is to find a dependable model.
