Was in a car accident a bit ago and am left without a car – all I want is a little vespa to cruisearound town with. I hape not being able to go where I want, when I want. So to all of those who take things for granted, don’t. Someday you will get a rude awakening.
How to buy a Vespa
How I did it: Well it's not a vespa but it is a scooter.
Just a 50cc little thing but I love it.
I checked out all the stores here and town and went with this one because it's the cheapest and smallest one I could find.
Unfortunately, after only 2 months of having it, I broke my kneecap and have been unable to drive it...luckily it's through the winter months when I wouldn't want to be driving it anyway. Once I'm totally mobile again though I'll be back to zipping around (at 30mph).
[I wrote that it took two weeks..that's the time it took from when I set out to buy it seriously, they were continually out of stock or not open. :( I had been thinking about getting one for years and years though.]
Lessons & tips: Search around. Don't settle for something you don't love.
Also, learning to ride one isn't very difficult. It's easier to operate than a bicycle.
Resources: I used the internet, visiting shops, and talking to people in person to do research.

Well, the plan is in motion, however not a Vespa, but just a general scooter. Trying to wrangle a free one.
Hazel E.M. has returned!
The Vespa LX 50 costs a tad over $3,000 and gets 90 miles to the gallon.
I’m saving, yes I am.
I have seen, on several different occasions, THE cutest, most simple, most urban, most granola-y, loveliest, couple riding their Vespa ever-so-peacefully down Westheimer in Montrose, with the wind in their hair, just getting along in their daily life, traveling from point A to B, like nothing else mattered in the world. I love that. And because of this, I want a Vespa.

Well, I’ve got me a sugar daddy (kidding Joshy, really), who can give me the money I need to do my scooter license course ($280) and a down payment on a scooter I found in Geelong. _
mailove is going to work. :)
i think i’m going to start saving for one, i like the older retro look, maybe a 60’s model.
moniraq is dying of excessive heat in Texas!
It’s as close as I could afford and I love it!!! I bought a Buddy 125 last year and it’s been a blast to ride. I got the “Italia” special edition and it’s got kind of a retro look to it. It’s fast enough for me and I’m really glad I got it.
Maybe one day I’ll get a Vespa too!
I just bought a vespa two weeks ago to run errands at stuff and I haven’t filled up the gas tank yet.
You don’t have to get a motorcycle license.. or insurance really at least in Florida if you are over 21. But I have the insurance.. I don’t need anyone stealing my $3,200 scooter. ;)
for my place in miami beach… u don’t need to drive on the beach…. n parkings a bitch.
