I have done a reasonable amount of swimming but need to establish a stronger routine.



19th Jan 10 months ago

My knee is still abit sore (sometimes in a blue moon it hurts from an injury years ago but then goes). So this week is about swimming and maybe weights, also sit-ups and press-ups routine.



12th Jan week 11 months ago

will try to add in weights this week and make sure I eat healthy foods.

12th Jan – Swim 20 min, sauna, cycle home
13th Jan – no training, wrong mood
14th Jan – Swim 20 min, steam room, cycle+
15th Jan – nothing
16th Jan – nothing
17th Jan – nothing
18th Jan – some cycling

not a good week for training as I had injured my knee and couldn’t run without pain. Should have gone swimming more often, however. Only reason was lack of organisation which is not a good reason.



begin again 11 months ago

have started again

5th Jan – Run, Sit-ups in freezing cold whilst waiting for friend to stop playing the drums and hear the doorbell, Run
6th Jan – Swimming 20 mins, 50 Sit-ups
7th Jan – Run of sufferance to friend’s house (to fit it in) who then gave me a glass of experimental spiced rum, cola and ice… not sure this contributes to goal but couldn’t resist the novelty. so sit ups and run back undermined. however in fact managed to run back some considerable time later over ice crystalled surface in freezing cold and when home even did 50 sit-ups and 10 press-ups whilst waiting for kettle to boil to make chamomile tea before sleep to counteract endless cups of tea friend makes who has no money right now and lives off constant supply.
8th Jan – Swimming 20 mins but too many people for all front crawl which secretly I was glad of and 50 crunchies, 20 press-ups although not good form.
9th Jan – run
10th Jan – rest (could have run but too disorganized due to coffee induced lack of sleep)
11th Jan – good run, 50 Sit-ups and 20 press-ups good form

Good week of training, running feels stronger.



Still not there 11 months ago

I still don’t train anywhere near regularly enough or how I used to even 1 yr ago. However I will now make another push starting with a simple daily exercise of yoga, stretching or trying pilates out, just to get into the habit. I am on holiday right now so health, relaxation exercises rather than more intense training (circuits, weights etc..) is easier to carry out, at least at first. In the new year I will try to run, swim, and go training regularly.

I feel that Yoga and similiar systems are very good for health and calmness whereas running and other intense sports promote fitness. Ideally I would like to include both types if I can maintain the discipline.



or irregularly 12 months ago

well this is coming along, definitely progressing, but nowhere near a decent exercise regime yet. I did have a wisdom tooth extracted so this got in the way, but a minor excuse really. Just have to keep the push going to eat healthy and train well.
