How I did it: I just searched the doctors that were local that were covered by my insurance. I am more comfortable with femald doctors closer to my own age so that is what I searched. I found a local PA and made an appointment with her. I had to wait in the waiting room forever, but once I met her things went smoothly. I got a tetnus shot and my vitals were checked. I told her any health concerns that I had and answered a … Read how I did it…

I got my blood drawn this morning and the test results were posted tonight. I’m doing OK…At my age I don’t have much to worry about anyhow, but grocery shopping tonight I bought a box of Cheerios anyways just to make sure I keep my cholesterol low and healthy! :)

I saw the doctor, but because no one told me to fast (and I was silly and didn’t think of it), I didn’t get bloodwork done. Now I have to go back to give some blood… I’m a bit scared about it because it always makes me so dizzy, but I’ll survive it. :)

I’m not entirely sure. Yeah, after 10 years I was due, but at the same time I wish doctor’s weren’t so quick about just giving you medication and sending you on your way. I had blood tests done and apparently I’m mildly defficient in iron so was given a supplement prescription (I’ve yet to pick it up). I was also told I might have high blood pressure and after a three day test I’m still not sure what’s up with that. Well, at least I can say I’ve done this. I really would like to be able to have a closer relationship with my doctor, but I guess there’s only so much you can do when they’re military doctors. sigh

Scheduled an appointment for one online through KP. It’s been years since I’ve had one, so it’s time. The appointment should happen in late August/early September. Hurray!

Have to get one for college. The last one i got was almost 2 years ago now! yikes!
No matter what is going on in your life its always a huge bright side to know if your in good health. I worry way too much about my health when I feel fine. I just worry that omg what if something is wrong with me? This worry sadly takes way too much of my time up. I keep putting it off because I’m so scared of the truth that I’d rather worry about it endlessly than picking up a phone and getting in the clinic. I make no sense at all.
I’d love to meet just one person who has gone to the doctor’s office and has left feeling better about himself or herself than before entering. You only get bad news at the doctor’s office. No doctor tells you, “You are in better shape than you even thought.”
